Carter Lake - South Shore
9am-5pm Thursday-Monday

Carter Lake is nestled in the foothills just northwest of Berthoud and southwest of Loveland. This beautiful 3-mile long and one mile wide, 1100 acre reservoir is surrounded by 1000 acres of public land. It’s a great place for SUP’n (Stand Up Paddleboarding), kayaking and canoeing, among other water sports!
Horsetooth - Sunrise Beach

Six and one-half miles of water entices visitors to come out and play! Surrounded by 1,900 acres of public lands, this reservoir has it all: fishing, boating, camping, picnicking, swimming, scuba diving, rock climbing, and water skiing. Sunrise Swim Beach is located on the east side of the reservoir and is a short paddle to explore scenic coves.
Horsetooth - South Bay

One of the most scenic places in Northern Colorado, Horsetooth Reservoir is located west of Fort Collins at an elevation of 5420. Six and ½ miles long, “The Res” or “The Tooth” (as many locals refer to it as) awaits visitors to come out and play! This reservoir has it all from SUP'n (Stand Up Paddleboarding), kayaking, canoeing, hiking, rock climbing, swimming, and scuba diving among many other water sports.
We are on-site renting SUPs (Mid) May- (Mid) Sept (weather permitting). Walk-ups are welcome. We accept cash, check or credit cards on-site.
Rental includes paddle, board, safety whistle, and PFD (you may use your own). Children 13 and under must wear a PFD/life vest at ALL times. You MUST have your PFD and whistle on your board while on the water. Participants under age 18 must have an adult/guardian sign on the behalf of a minor. All rentals are weather permitting. What's SUP does NOT operate in rain or sustained winds above 15 mph.
Park Entrance fees are not included with the rental. Daily entrance permits are available at entrance stations and self-serve stations prior to entering the parks. A park permit is required to visit Carter Lake or Horsetooth Reservoir. It is $9 per day/per car for a day pass. You must purchase it directly from Larimer County Parks. Cancellation Policy: To reserve, a credit card number is required. We require 24-hour notice for all cancellations, otherwise, your credit card will be charged. Unsafe conditions due to weather (i.e., rain, high winds etc…) will result in a full refund.
